The Person Behind the Process
Music has shaped my life for decades – as a performer, educator, producer, and mentor.
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Toronto, trained in classical guitar under Eli Kassner, and studied composition with Sam Dolin at the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Over the past 27 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of students, artists, families, and community organizations through private instruction, adaptive music programming, recording, and artist development.
I founded Massive Tank Studios 17 years ago to create a space where growth, creativity, and high standards work together.
My philosophy is simple: I don’t start with the music – I start with the person.
Some people come to music to build confidence.
Others come to find their identity.
Some come to see what they’re capable of.
Others come to give voice to what they’ve kept inside.
My role is to understand what drives someone, how they think, and which path will help them grow.
That may mean:
- Helping a beginner discover they’re capable of more than they thought
- Helping someone with developmental challenges find confidence, connection, and a place to succeed
- Helping an artist become the version of themselves they envision
- Or helping a recording project become something everyone involved can stand behind
I care about doing excellent work – honest work, personal work, and work that creates real progress.
If growth through music matters to you, we’ll work well together.
